Today I went to staples to resent having to pay a lot of money for ink, but I needed to print something, so I did. It was $51.99 for the replacement ink, and $59.99 for an all in one printer scanner. So I paid the extra $8 and got the printer, because it comes with ink. Not as much as a full cartridge but enough for my purposes and since they expire anyway, buying a full ink cartridge would have been a bigger waste of money.
So I think we should all go out and make the printer companies (ok, well HP) suffer because they are taking a loss on the printers to make ink expensive…
I like voting with my wallet, and I’d bet if hp started taking enough of a bath on their printers, they’d have to start covering their costs and maybe… just maybe… they’d lower the price of ink to some reasonable cost + profit.

Didn’t you have an old laser printer? They usually take cheap replacement toner cartridges because they were built before printer companies went to the razor blade revenue model.
